Delete signing certificates

You can delete a signing certificate in the 10Duke Scale UI console.

Limitations

  • You cannot delete an active signing certificate. Set another certificate as active if needed.

Delete signing certificates in the UI console

  1. In the left sidebar, go to SETTINGS > Signing certificates. The list of signing certificates opens.

  2. Click the three-dot menu for the certificate you want to delete, and select Delete.

  3. To confirm the deletion, click Yes.

Next steps

Any license token signing key that has a certificate that was signed using the deleted signing certificate should be considered void. Thus, we recommend that you invalidate or delete such license token signing keys.

You should also take into account the key rotation and key lifecycle with the token signing keys and signing certificates. Rotating keys and certificates implies that specific released version(s) of client applications become end-of-life. For example, if a client application executable has embedded signing certificates that it trusts, and the certificates are deleted in 10Duke Scale, the executable should only under special circumstances be still usable.
